As I sit here checking facebook, I see a status that says one of my high school friends is in VA holding his new baby girl they are ADOPTING and it just brought me back to a year ago. What a difference a YEAR makes!
A year ago Brad &I were making plans to go to Vegas over Christmas to meet our new baby girl
A year ago we ended up not going to Vegas
A year ago brought many emotions
A year ago we got our hearts broken 3 times
A year ago was a horrible Christmas Eve
A year ago all we wanted for Christmas was a baby
at the time we did not know Gods plan....
A year ago a baby was born on Christmas Eve in California that needed a family
A year ago we did not know that in a week we would be the happiest people in the WORLD
A year ago God knew we would be Mommy and Daddy very SOON
A year ago God knew we would be flying to California
A year ago God picked the PERFECT baby to start our family
what a difference a YEAR makes...
This year we are mommy and daddy
This year we have a son, Drew
This year we laughed a lot
This year we learned of what patience and Gods timing can bring
This year we will be CELEBRATING a Birthday and Christmas!
This year if there are tears...they will be tears of JOY
This year we have our baby for Christmas and he is turning 1!
AMAZING.
next year.....
Next year we look forward to seeing what God has planned for us!

Your writing brought back lots of memories for us as well- tears- prayers, knowing God is in control- He has a plan- His own timing-
laughter- praising God for you both and God's gift of Drew- the perfect baby. Love you, mom
God is the one in control! And you knowledge of that and it timing is awesome! What a lot of emotion I felt as I was reading your poem!! this is one to keep always and add to Drew's scrapbook! God had blessed your family and our's richly! Happy Birthday to Drew on the 24th and Merry Christmas!!
