Just got this email from my mother-in-law this morning about Drew. She still has him today and will be home with him when I get home from work. I miss the little bugger.
"We went to HyVee for pancakes and ham today because he really liked it on Monday morning. I had an older gentleman come up to us while we were eating and he said he hoped we would be there today because he saw us Monday and he said “that little guy just made my day!” He went on to say that some days get to be pretty boring for “us old folks” and it was such fun to smile that early in the morning and it was because of Drew! I just about cried! Drew said thank you and bye when he left. What a good boy!"
oh, and then I got this one too:
"Drew has been telling me when he is going “pee pee” today. By george, he’s right?!!! Could this be the start of something??? Just a little FYI."
um...YEAH!

Drew
Drew is a fun-loving 7 year old. He was adopted at birth and he has been a TRUE Blessing in my life. He loves movies, ninja's, sports, games, WWE, guns, camo, the Chicago Bears and currently his favorite colors are Blue and Orange. He's got big brown eyes, longest eyelashes you've ever seen and the best hair ever. Lucky him he got none of that from me. Each age with him has been my favorite. He is a negotiator and HE NEVER STOPS TALKING or pushing his limits. He is growing up way to fast and is the smartest 7 year old I know... (ok I'm a little biased) but I Love him to pieces and do not know what I would do without him.
Brian
Brian is my HUSBAND. (say whaat!) I met him through mutual acquaintances (ahem) and its a super long story that if you search my blog I'm sure you will find. ;) I was not planning or expecting him to come along. He's great and I am 100% myself around him and he makes me SMILE.
Parker
Parker is Brian's son and he is a sweetheart just like his daddy. Its hard not to fall in love with those big blue eyes. He is 6 (only 6 months younger than Drew) He loves to read, hang out with his brother and is totally into skylanders. He is smart, funny, shy, and wears his heart on his sleeve....if you get him talking he won't stop and he will tell you things over and over again. I wouldn't have it any other way. His special talent is he can reach his tongue to his nose and you will see it there a lot. He also points with his middle finger so if you see him he is NOT giving you the bird. :) When you get him laughing he is a complete giggle box and its the best sound in the world.
Carter (CJ)
Carter will always have a place in my heart. He was adopted at birth (October 17, 2010) and was with me for 3+ months before the birth family changed their mind. I had no choice but to give him back in 2011, but a piece of my heart will forever be missing. He was a part of my family and I am not going to pretend that he didn't exist, because he did exist very much. I miss him and think about him every single day.

yep- Alyssa, I think he is ready to potty training. Before he had a BM- he would look at us and say- uh-oh- and then proceed to do it!
G-Gam adn I had the same thing when we went to McDonald's for breakfast & Culver's for lunch on Friday after picking him up.. People kept saying they enjoyed watching him- adn of course as he did with the Gaskills- hi & bye.. Even blew a kiss to some older ladies in McDonald's! Welcome home! -Dad & Mom V.
