Father's Day 2012

Father's Day is somewhat complicated these days. As Brian is not Drew's dad, and he doesn't call him dad...but at the same time he is another father figure in his life and I know Brian would do anything and be there for Drew just as he is for Parker. Parker of course calls him dad. Both these boys are lucky to have him in their lives.

 Drew loves Brian, I know he does b/c he gives him hugs, he's always excited to see him, and Drew does not give his attention to just anyone. He is a loyal soul and I love that about him.

 I've seen a few things on Pinterest that have the kids holding signs that say DAD or I love my Daddy...etc. I loved them, but again complicated. So I made signs that say We Love You. Pretty much sums it up. Because we all do. Parker calls him Dad. Drew calls him Brian. Whatever the name is doesn't matter. We love him and just wanted to let him know in an extra special way on a day that is Father's day.

 

I am thankful everyday for you. There are always tough times b/c of our situation but we get through them together and you always think of the boys first before yourself. You are a great dad and father figure and I can't wait to continue to live life and raise these boys with you.
