Keep it Clean

I am giving up my Tuesday blog posts to bring you the Adventure Project.  I found out about this through Jody Landers Blog, a good friend showed it to me once and I cannot stop reading.  I do not know her personally but I love her blog.  She is an inspiration, but she is a very honest blogger and she puts herself out there.  (plus she is hilarious).

I am not a writer and so I will bring you words directly from her blog and give you some great links to check it out.

*One third of all handpumps installed in the last twenty years in developing countries are now broken. And 4,000 children die every day because of lack of clean drinking water. Unacceptable.

*Instead of drilling more wells, we can use our charitable gifts as well for something revolutionary – to train and employ handpump mechanics. The mechanics earn an income, bringing themselves out of poverty, and they save lives – turning water back on for thousands of people each year.

What stuck with me from above is 4,000 children die every day because of lack of clean drinking water. Super Sad!  We take the littlest for granted, water, something we can go to the store and buy or just turn on the faucet.

I've signed up with hopefully 100 other bloggers to try and raise together $10,000 in 24 hours.  If we can do this The Prem Rawat Foundation will MATCH it.  That is HUGE!

This will help WaterAid’s Well Mechanic Program fix hundreds of broken wells, turning water back on for approx 600 people each month. This is epic.

Will you make a difference in someone's life today?  I will repeat.  4,000 children are DYING every day b/c they don't have CLEAN WATER.
