Winterset - part 1

We had the boys for a week in a row and it was great!  I love not having to share! :)  We were originally planning on going to Missouri but we ended up switching plans around and stayed home.  A STAYCATION!!  We decided to take a little day trip and do some exploring around the Bridges of Madison County.  (oh boy does this make me my parents?!?)



We started at Pammel State Park

The weather was PERFECT

We crossed a road covered with water, which the boys thought was totally awesome.





I just wanted a day where boys could be boys.  Run, play and get DIRTY.

 

Keens are great for days like today!



We found a little tiny park





He's mine. :)



We took the boys on a little 'mini' hike.

Brian found a tree to climb.....(two little monkeys tried to follow him)

 

 

So he took them on the lower part so they could walk the branch just like him
