Omaha Zoo Weekend

Finally getting caught up!  My parents have been trying to get all of us to go on a little trip together.  So we went to the Omaha zoo! :)  Maybe next time we can go tropical. ;)

Brian came up with this idea for sack lunches with the boys when we travel, so we don't ALWAYs have to go through McDonalds.  (plus we know they get plenty of that somewhere else...)

They love seeing what they get and sometimes we through in a little surprise as well.  Who doesn't love ring pop suckers!




We rented a house....lets just leave it as the website made it sound a little better than it was.  BUT we were together, a roof over our heads, and it didn't cost a TON. It came with hummingbirds and deer.



My poor dad. This is what the whole weekend looked like.  Kids just are drawn to him and he just plays and plays and plays. The boys adore him.





We had the PERFECT day for the zoo.  It wasn't SUPER hot, there was a nice breeze and we didn't get rained on.



My mom was a fan of the birds. :)  Do you see the baby birds??

Parker was WAY to tired and couldn't keep his eyes open.  Pretty sure my dad took a snooze too.  So it was a nice break for everyone.

Then we went to the Jungle.  Last time I had to semi-make Drew cross this bridge.  This time before we even got to the zoo he told me he was going to cross the bridge AND he was going to go first.

We didn't see the aquarium last time b/c they were renovating it.  We were very excited to see it this time











Then we took a sky lift ride again so we could see the animals on the other side of the park.  Good thing we got round trip b/c most of the animals were already put away to eat supper.

All done.  Its crazy how you can spend the whole day at the zoo and still not see and do everything.


We went out for supper at the Flying Fork (?). It was pretty good.  It was past bedtime and the boys did good considering.  Good thing they had Papa Wes for entertainment.  (Drew starting calling him 'pop' this weekend, it was pretty funny) "Hey Pop! Come over here"
