Throwing Rocks

The Sunday after Nana and Hippo were here the boys took a 3+ hour nap to make up for the lack of nap the day before. Ok, we all took a 3+ hour nap. :) We all woke up at 5pm and Brian and I were like "what are we going to do to wear these boys out!" It was super windy that day but we decided to go to Saylorville to throw rocks.



It was a little windy.....

The first place we found, wasn't ideal.  the rocks were a little big. :)  They were surprisingly sturdy and they did't move at all when we were walking down them.  At first Drew didn't want to go down (go figure, love that kid)

   

We kept having to find them small rocks to throw.  This pic makes me laugh because its like little birdies waiting for food, except they were throwing rocks faster then we could find them.

As you can tell. Drew survived and he LOVED IT.

They both loved climbing up the rocks and asked if they could do it again. 

   

We decided to take them where they could find and throw their own rocks.

They thought this was PRETTY DARN COOL.

I think at one point Drew asked "mom, how many rocks can we throw?"  I told him AS MANY AS YOU WANT!  He was SUPER excited.  He ran to Parker "Parker! We can throw as many as we want to!.  Oh its the little things. ;)

We will be doing this lots this summer.  Best part, its FREE. :)
