Kids Fest

Whaat!! An update?  I know, I know.  I am SO behind.  We've been so busy, and we've been sick, and lately the last thing I want to do when I come home from work is sit at the computer some more.

 I just downloaded pictures but I decided to go with the most recent FIRST.  KID FEST.

Not sure if I will ever go back.  It was insane....but the boys had fun so that is the most important.  A lot of these pictures are of the back of their heads, and there are a lot of Parker b/c Drew would barely do ANYTHING. *sigh*

Parker has no fear...even of big bird. :)  Nope, Drew wouldn't even get close to them.


He was happy standing in line and eating candy however........

What were we standing in line for? To sit in the cop car.  Parker did it, Drew did not. 

They both loved the little play area that was set up by Drake.

 

Again, Parker having no fear, went right up to pet the snake.  The rest of us kept our distance. :)

They invited the kids up to dance.  Parker went, if you are looking for Drew you would have to look on my shoulders b/c he wasn't about to go up there with ALL THOSE PEOPLE.



We did convince him to give them hi-fives after the show though.

DREW WAS all about the sports games though.  

 

 

They were both interested in the racing cars.

 

and Hockey with the Des Moines Bucs.





They LOVED spinning the spinners and this was at the Martial Arts Booth.  They spun and DREW got to break a board!!!  what? you say that's Parker not Drew?  That's b/c Drew didn't want to do it so Parker got to do it instead.  He's pretty proud and he did awesome. Ask him about it, he'll tell you. :)



One of the MAIN reasons we went to kids fest was SPIDERMAN!  They were super pumped.  Parker even got air on his high-five!

 

Couldn't believe it and I was so Proud that Drew gave SPIDERMAN a high-five 

and even got his picture taken without totally freaking out.

 

At the end DREW HAD to go down the big slide, there was a long line but since I had told him no on new shooty guns (that lit up and ones with bubbles), we decided we would wait and go down the slide.  He normally doesn't want to do things like that so we waited, and waited.  When we got to the front of the line Parker went straight up and down the slide.  I don't have any pictures b/c Drew decided he didn't want to do it.  I made him do it anyway since this was his big idea in the first place.  I ended up going up with him and down the slide.  He survived, didn't cry and had fun.

We had a blast even though we lost our sanity there. :)  

Spiderman and board breaking were the highlights for sure.

I'll try to update a little more often and hopefully play some catch-up from January/February pictures.
