Drew's 3rd Birthday Party!

On Sunday we celebrated Drew's 3rd Birthday!!  He actually turns 3 Christmas Eve but I like to spread out opening presents a little bit. ;)

We just had immediate family over to celebrate.  We haven't started the friend birthday's yet, maybe next year.....just not sure where to draw the line on friends.

He loves Toy Story so we had a Toy Story 3 theme!

He loved opening presents and wanted to play with them all right away.  (Notice his Buzz Lightyear slippers, I gave them to him in the morning and he wore them for 2 days straight)

The only thing Drew asked for when we asked him what he wanted was a bike.  every time.

Needless to say he was a little excited when we rolled this bad boy from around the corner.

Then we sang Happy Birthday to him.  He loves to sing happy birthday, but when we were all singing it to him he wasn't sure what to think and he had this look on his face the whole time.  He gets super shy around lots of people, especially when all the attention is on him.

He likes cake but he LOVES ice cream so we got him an ice cream cake this year.  (His cake last year was amazing and there is no way I am ever going to be able to top it)

Daddy helped him blow out his candles.  (Brad acted like he was blowing them out but Drew did it all by himself! He even said he made a wish.....wonder what that was?}

The party was a success even though it didn't have EVERYTHING I wanted it to have.  I tried to make these 'ham' cake ball pops.........

they weren't turning out how the picture looked....so I gave up.  I was running out of time and had plenty to eat so I just said cupcakes for the daycare kids!

Here are a few random shots from the party. Lots of fun! Thank you to everyone who came!

Can't believe our little man is 3!  Looking at last year's party he has grown up SO much!

He makes us laugh every single day.  The stuff that comes out of his mouth cracks me up!  Today on the way home he drank all his juice and the rest of my hot chocolate and he says to me "I'm a smart little boy"  (yes you are honey, yes you are)

He LOVES watching movies, his favorites right now are Toy Story 3, Dragons, Astro Boy, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs.......the list goes on.  He would watch movies all day if I let him.  He also likes to eat popcorn while watching his movies.  (yes he sits through the ENTIRE movie, especially a new one)

The TV shows he is watching right now is Diego, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Chuggington and Curious George.

The Books he reads before bed are Curious George Books.  Lately his 2 favorite Stories are 'George and the Big City and George and the Train'

He is also into guns right now and shooting...which I do not like at all, but that is just part of being a boy......right?

He is mostly a mamma's boy now.  If he is tired or hurt he especially wants me.  Which I don't hate at all.

He is a daddy's boy during the day and they are best buds.

He has the ability to have people fall in love with him within the first 5 minutes of meeting him.

He is shy until you get to know him.

Still not potty trained.....in the least bit.

He is a GREAT big brother

Humm...what else?  He knows his colors pretty well.  He can count to 10 (getting close to 20).  He can recognize some letters of the Alphabet and he can count to 5 in spanish.

He still loves sports and has a pretty accurate basketball shot, soccer footwork, and a great frisbee arm.

He likes music and loves to sing.

He tells me Thank You Mommy for the little things that I do for him.  I love that.

I'm sure there is much much more.  We thank God for him every single day and we can't wait to see what God has planned for his life.  Right now we are enjoying him and watching him grow and learn and soak up everything around him.
