On the way to work today (currently an hour and a half drive) we did not turn on the little movie player for Drew. I try not to turn it on until he asks for it. He didn't today.
Today we were looking for Semi's. We usually look for Semi's but today he was super interested in it. We SEE LOTS of Semi's on the route we take. He was seeing them on the other side of the road and he was like 'zoom zoom zooooommmmmm'.
Then we passed a semi................... "MOMMY! The Semi is going BACKWARDS!!"
Oh my goodness. I laughed so hard 'cause if you actually look at a semi as you are passing it, it does look like it is driving backwards. So I said "silly Semi".
Next Semi we pass Drew says "MOMMY! The Semi is going BACKWARDS! Silly Semi"
I love that kid.
Semi's are great but the REAL exciting thing to see is a Car Transporter! Oh boy does he get excited for those! We don't see them very often but if we do, wahoo!
After the backwards semi's he says "I want to see a car transporter" (he says it pretty clear)
Me: "ok buddy, lets look for one"
(we pass a semi)
Drew: "NO NO SEMI...MOVE out of way, I want car transporter"

Drew
Drew is a fun-loving 7 year old. He was adopted at birth and he has been a TRUE Blessing in my life. He loves movies, ninja's, sports, games, WWE, guns, camo, the Chicago Bears and currently his favorite colors are Blue and Orange. He's got big brown eyes, longest eyelashes you've ever seen and the best hair ever. Lucky him he got none of that from me. Each age with him has been my favorite. He is a negotiator and HE NEVER STOPS TALKING or pushing his limits. He is growing up way to fast and is the smartest 7 year old I know... (ok I'm a little biased) but I Love him to pieces and do not know what I would do without him.
Brian
Brian is my HUSBAND. (say whaat!) I met him through mutual acquaintances (ahem) and its a super long story that if you search my blog I'm sure you will find. ;) I was not planning or expecting him to come along. He's great and I am 100% myself around him and he makes me SMILE.
Parker
Parker is Brian's son and he is a sweetheart just like his daddy. Its hard not to fall in love with those big blue eyes. He is 6 (only 6 months younger than Drew) He loves to read, hang out with his brother and is totally into skylanders. He is smart, funny, shy, and wears his heart on his sleeve....if you get him talking he won't stop and he will tell you things over and over again. I wouldn't have it any other way. His special talent is he can reach his tongue to his nose and you will see it there a lot. He also points with his middle finger so if you see him he is NOT giving you the bird. :) When you get him laughing he is a complete giggle box and its the best sound in the world.
Carter (CJ)
Carter will always have a place in my heart. He was adopted at birth (October 17, 2010) and was with me for 3+ months before the birth family changed their mind. I had no choice but to give him back in 2011, but a piece of my heart will forever be missing. He was a part of my family and I am not going to pretend that he didn't exist, because he did exist very much. I miss him and think about him every single day.

The little guy is growing up isn't he....right before our very eyes. Sure makes the trip better for you when you have someone in the car to entertain you at times. Gotta love it.
