Camera Strap

Remember the Fabric.  This is what I did with it.  I was 'cruising' the internet and on the ihearfaces blog they have some tutorials I was going through and one of them was How to Make your own Camera Strap. I have seen these on other blogs and you can buy them for oh $25.  So I was excited when I found the tutorial.  I thought to myself "self! how hard could that be?"

So I enlisted my MIL (mother-in-law) to help and they didn't turn out too shabby.  I did all the sewing, she was there to hold my hand. =0)

I'm not the best seamstress so it is FAR from perfect.  I think it turned out pretty cute...even though I ended up making 2 because I wanted it longer then my first one turned out...and I forgot to add a pocket for my lens cover (this was not in the instructions, I just wanted to add it.)  (MIL added it after the fact on the first one).  We made a few tweaks from the tutorial, but it was a great guide.  If I make another one I might even make a few more changes.

This one had its challenges as well, just because I'm not very good, but it didn't turn out too shabby for having to re-sew one side 3 times!!

Its pretty comfy as well since it has fleece interfacing on the inside, so its like a pillow on my neck.  I may make a couple more....we shall see. I'm thinking I should have picked out black fabric instead of brown since my camera is black...but Brad says it looks like me.  We'll see.

Great job! I think you are going to have to sew more. It's addicting so watch out!!! We had a great time interacting with Drew and seeing the fam on Valentine's Day. It had been way too long!!! Love the new pictures. Thanks for sharing.

Looks fabulous! I've been wanting to try this too but my sewing skills are very subpar at the moment :)
