For One Night...

....Emma Wiederstein gets to stay with us!  Julie and Scott went on their overnight anniversary date, and Marlys was supposed to watch the kids but she broke her foot.  So she is unable to chase after 2 kids, so John went to his Grandpa's house and Emma came to ours!  Here they are eating McDonalds (yes, I am a cool Aunt), they already had 1 hot dog each too.

After they both took naps we (Bob and Terry are at our house too) went outside to burn off some energy.  I think Bob burnt off the most energy as he pulled us on the sled.  The kids wouldn't sit on the sled by themselves so Bob had to lug me around too.

It was such a relaxing ride, Emma closed her eyes for a bit.  I have 2 pictures and she has her eyes closed in both.....either that or she was scared and didn't want to look. =0)  [Emma is in Drew's snow suit, I forgot to have Julie bring her snow pants and Drew is in his 2T snow pants]

I think Emma's faced looked like this the whole time we were outside.

I could not get her to crack a smile once.

Drew was having a lot more fun this time in snow then last time. He was walking and running around.

We even went sledding down the slope where the trucks pile up the snow.

I got Emma to go down once, she wasn't too into it.

Drew on the other hand, couldn't get enough of it.  I can't wait to take him on a bigger hill!

After playing outside, we went in and ate some supper.  Drew needed a bath and Emma wanted to get in too, so I gave them both a bath.  I finally got Emma to break her serious face and give me a few smiles.

We had such a good time with Emma tonight. They are now both sleeping (in bed by 8:30).  I am heading there soon myself.
