Tulip Time 2009

We had a few people ask to take his picture this year.
I said if you can get one, sure..good luck!
Next year I might set up a booth
and charge people for taking a picture with Drew.
"$5 to take your picture with a dutch boy"
We could probably pay the rest of our adoption fees off.
But I need to work on him sitting and smiling.
That wouldn't be considered child labor would it?

We stopped to smell the tulips
But only once and really fast and never again.
He does not like to smell flowers. =0)
Sit! Quick! Take a picture.
It was very difficult to get some good pictures
of Drew sitting, smiling at the camera this year.
He just wanted to RUN. RUN. RUN.

When I got to Pella it had been raining.
So Grandpa and Drew had to go splash in the puddles
He was pretty wet because he sat in the puddle.
So we had an outfit change....good thing I over pack.
Drew thought it was funny when Grandpa Splashed the water.

Watching the night Parade.
His bedtime is NORMALLY 7:00
We pumped him full of sugar and funnel cake
He went to bed at 10:00
He liked to wave at the people...after they went by.
Except for the future queens float, he waved at them
the whole time....little flirt...watch out ladies!

He kept warm sitting on Grandpa and Grandma's laps.
Mostly he sat on Grandpa's because he had to work the
next day and wouldn't get to hang out with us.
Yes, this is chocolate on his face. SPOILED. =0)

Here he is sitting with Grandpa. One of the few pictures
where Grandpa isn't blinking and Grandma's arm isn't
in the picture. Shoot and Drew is looking the other way!

Eating a lollipop that someone in the parade gave him
He loved it and he was a sticky mess. fun!

Running around saying 'ha ha' try to get a picture of me
I DARE YOU!
He loved Aunt Sasha's Blackberry.

Mmmm Corn Dogs....Yep he ate the WHOLE THING.
Plus a bunch of other stuff that is
good for a 16 1/2 month old.

Afternoon parade sitting with Uncle Kyle
Eating Fruit Snacks (100% Fruit!)
See not TOTAL junk for the weekend.
He had his fruit too! lol
We had to switch hats because the sun
came out and we needed to shade his face
so he wouldn't look like Rudolph...
...like ME, Uncle Kyle and Aunt Sasha.
Sitting with Aunt Sasha

He had to take an important call during the parade.
It couldn't wait.

At this point it is about 3:30 with NO NAP.
Uncle Kyle was entertaining him with...yep WATER.
He needed another outfit change.
We also saw Grandpa and Grandma Great.
but silly me did not get a picture of them.
After we visited with them for a short bit
We headed for home. Drew was TUCKERED out!
He was asleep before we left Pella.

Thanks for the fun times and memories Pella Tulip Time!
Until NEXT year!

(don't worry Grandpa and Grandma...we will be back before then)

He is SUCH a cute little Dutch boy. I think you should set up a booth next year!
